Doctor Who's Leather
Jacket
Is
The Doctor's jacket black or brown?
This is actually quite a common
question. Allow me to provide the definitive answer...
It's black. Definitely, examined in person, first-hand, black.
But see this pic on the right? That's a great example of the
confusion. The screen jacket(s) were so weathered and beaten
that a lot of the top black surface of the leather is damaged and
it depends entirely on the lighting in any given photo or scene
whether it looks black or brown.
Here's the thing though. We've had a lot of requests FOR a
brown version regardless of the Doctor's actual jacket colour!
That actually sounded like a cracking idea, so we went ahead and
had one made up in a dark brown. And blimey, is it good!
So, if you want a screen-accurate jacket, choose the black one.
If you actually like the style a lot but fancy a brown one instead...
You can go ahead and order it in brown too! Ladies and Gentlemen,
I thank you.
Finally, if you're still in any
doubt, here's a pre-production photo using a relatively white lighting
source...

...and another one of the new Doctor, also wearing his clearly black
leather jacket.
